It was a welcoming surprise when Eugene Burgess visited Liberty Park Community Development Center to share the mission of Soleful Steps and explore ways to support our community. From that first meeting, it was clear this work was grounded in genuine care and action.

Since then, Soleful Steps has provided food and essential household items to residents in our subsidized apartments and new shoes to a family with six children—meeting real needs with dignity. In November 2025, Eugene also joined our Teen Night, where he delivered an inspiring message, stayed late to answer questions, and connected meaningfully with our youth.

We are grateful to have Eugene and the Soleful Steps Foundation serving Spokane and strengthening our community.
